Cast-Iron Turkey Sliders

Ingredients:

Slider Patties:

1 pound (16 oz.) Lean Ground

Turkey Meat

1/2 tsp. Kosher Salt

Slider Spread:

1 Tbsp. Olive Oil Mayo

1 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard

1 Tbsp. Prepared Jar of Hot Cream Horseradish

2 tsp. Ketchup

Slider Relish:

2 well-cooked slices Turkey Bacon, chopped

3 cups vertically sliced Yellow Onion

1 Tbsp. Chives, finely chopped

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

Remaining Ingredients:

Slider Wheat Buns

Tomato slices

Arugula Greens

Directions:

Step 1: Using clean hands, divide and weigh out your portion of turkey meat to form patty sliders. Place each little slider patty on a parchment lined-pan that will fit in your refrigerator. Sprinkle evenly with the kosher salt. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerated at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare slider spread.

Place in a small bowl. Cover/refrigerate until you need it.

Step 3: Cook bacon slices until crispy in a medium sized skillet. Remove bacon to a paper towel to remove any grease. Add sliced onion to the same bacon pan (grease remaining) and add some canola oil spray to coat onion. Brown the onions, moving occasionally with a wooden spoon for about 15 minutes.

Step 4: Add cooked onions to a bowl with chopped bacon, chives, Worcestershire and pepper; set aside.

Step 5: Heat a large cast-iron skillet or a grill pan over med-high heat. Coat pan with canola oil spray. When pan is hot, add turkey patties. Cook 2 – 3 minutes each side, or until desired degree of doneness. Spread 1 tsp. horseradish mixture onto each side of the bun’s insides. Top bottom half of bun with slider patty, 1/8 cup relish, 1 tomato slice and Arugula leaves. Top with other 1/2 bun and enjoy!
