Shred Results: Combined loss of 18.2% weight and body fat!

Bradley has become a new man in the last 6 weeks, taking on his weight loss challenge with more passion and desire than anyone we’ve ever seen. He trains in Northridge and Encino at least 5 times a week and has begun participating in every Sunday Trail Run. It has been a pleasure to witness his transformation, not just because he’s one of the friendliest guys around, but because his improvement has been so radical and comprehensive. He hasn’t just lost over 30 pounds in 6 weeks, his performance has jumped up in extraordinary ways. We salute him for his positive attitude, his discipline and hard work, he is the perfect Arena Fitness role model!

Jess is pure Beast, full of energy and always willing to do even the craziest workouts we throw at her. She is also one of only two ladies to sign up to join Will and Jonathan in the Spartan Beast (a 12 mile obstacle course race) this month in Sacramento! Not only does she train several times a week at Arena Fitness, but she also participates in every Sunday Trail Run or workout we ever offer, and even brings her dad along (we can see where she gets her Beast genes). Jess is always the hardest working person in the room, always smiling, always giving her best, and we’re going to miss her if she does what she says she’s going to and goes away to Physical Therapy school next month. I mean, we wish her well and all, but we don’t want her to leave us!

Second Place Team: Robynn and Linda

Shred Results: Combined loss of 9.4% weight and body fat!

Robynn and Linda are previous Beast of the Week honorees, so it’s little surprise that they ended up near the very top of the heap for the Shred! Both of them show amazing consistency and dedication in their training at Arena Fitness, AND when they’re not at Arena Fitness. Their teamwork and mutual support paid off and we’re very proud of how they’ve taken on the challenge of adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Third Place Team: Isaac and Christine

Shred Results: Combined loss of 8.5% weight and body fat!

Unfortunately, we don’t have a picture of our amazing third place winners, because shortly after the Shred ended, Isaac had to jump on a plane to go to China for business and study! However, true to his nature, he has continued to exercise while overseas and, according to Christine, has lost another 4 pounds since he’s been gone! These two have jumped into their training with an incredible willingness to work hard and consistently. They not only train at both Arena Fitness locations numerous times every week, but have been using MyFitnessPal to make healthy changes in their eating. This tandem serves as a perfect example of how a married couple can work together in support of each other for a common, healthy cause, and we are very proud of the progress they’ve made together.

What can these 6 fitness Beasts teach us? What are their common characteristics?

  1. Train hard, train often, train with variation (they all do a combination of personal training, semi private training, group training classes, Spartan Training classes, Sunday hikes, etc.)
  2. Challenge yourself (almost all of them are signed up for Spartan Races in November and/or December)
  3. Clean up your eating habits by using MyFitnessPal
