6 weeks of endless Semi-Private Training sessions, Spartan Workouts and Extreme Training to say the least.  6 weeks of watching… really watching your diet and monitoring your calorie intake.  6 weeks of striving to lose the most weight and body fat possible in order to win that IPad.  The winners have been announced… now what?  Was the IPad really the prize?  Or was the prize the extreme satisfaction of seeing a positive change within yourself and knowing that reaching your goals is possible?

The Shred was only the start of what I hope will be an incredibly successful weight loss journey for you.  My goal was to give you the tools to succeed on your own.  Hence why I never gave you a meal plan or a weight loss shake.  Quick fixes never produce long term goals.  Weight loss is a journey.  Sometimes you’ll hit bumps in the road but if you keep driving towards your goal, you’ll eventually get there.  This shred produced some amazing results from some amazing participants.  As a whole, you lost 145 pounds!!!  This proves how important it is to surround yourself with others whom support you. This Team Edition of the Shred helped to show something much more important than just the ability to losing weight and getting fit.

This Shred showed that like a family, Arena Fitness members can help support each other in extraordinary ways. Reaching goals that as individuals we never thought would be possible, but with the right support and motivation, goals were not only met, they were exceeded. Over 145lbs to be exact! So, without further ado.. here are our winners:

1st Place:   Annie Ksadzhikyan and Rubina Vojdani: together they lost 30 pounds and 14% body fat!!!

2nd Place:  William Garcia and Elena Herrera: together they lost 23 pounds and 19.5% body fat!!!

3rd Place:   Dave O’Connell and John O’Connell: together they lost 34 pounds and 8% body fat!!

Keep up the momentum guys.  I couldn’t be more proud to see the energy still buzzing around the gym.  It’s not too early to start gearing up for the next Shred.  After all, sometimes you just have to do what you think you can’t to realize that you actually can.
